Book Description:

Allison O'Malley just graduated from college. Her life's plan is to get a job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She doesn't have room for friends or even Ethan, who clearly wants more.

When Allison's long-lost father shows up, he claims he can bring her mother back from the dark place her mind has sent her. He reveals legends of a race of people long forgotten, the Tuatha de Danaan, along with the truth about why he abandoned her mother.

My Writing Cave
By Laura Howard

This is a funny thing for me to write about, because I don’t really have a set location/time for writing. As the mother of four, I take every opportunity to write and run with it. I’m not a full-time writer who has a certain daily schedule.

I find that when my family is around (which is nearly always of course) I try to write in my bedroom with the door closed. I don’t like to listen to music while I write, I would rather write in silence. Don’t get me wrong, music plays a big part in my writing process, but  more during the dreaming/imagining stage, not the actual fingers to the keys stage.

I’m a Stay-at-Home Mom, so the most typical day for me is goof around on Facebook and when I notice my kids are particularly engaged in something, go on an hour-long sprint where I don’t allow myself to go on-line at all. Torture, I tell you!

Then, after dinner my husband will usually give me an hour or two of uninterrupted writing time up in my bedroom. Lately I spend many of those after-dinner hours writing guest posts or planning promotional stuff. There are just not enough hours in the day!

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her  obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.
