(Night Watchmen #1)
Publication date: February 19th 2014
Genres: Paranormal Romance, Young Adult

Synopsis:
What if your destiny lay on the other side of death?

The annual Culling ceremony is a day every coming-of-age novice looks forward to within the Primeval Coven. It’s the start to being initiated into the Night Watchmen, humankind’s protectors, and it’s the long-awaited day when novices discover if they’re a Hunter or a Witch.

But this day is not a happy one for Faye Middleton. Not when she’s known her whole life that she’s a Defect and is about to face banishment in front of her fellow novices. She’s forced to attend the Culling with little hope for her future, but what she discovers about herself is far worse than she could’ve imagined. And far more dangerous.

Thrown into training and separated from her friends, Faye must learn to adjust. She struggles to find her place within the Coven, and with Jaxen Gramm, the darkly handsome and extremely unnerving man assigned to watch and protect her. Emotions run high, and when she discovers a deadly secret about him, her struggles deepen. As corruption within the Coven begins to unravel, Faye pieces together her role in saving the future of her people, and within Jaxen’s life…but will the truth save her, or be her undoing?

Purchase:

If you could live in any book “world” which book would it be?
 - It would definitely be at Hogwarts! I’m a die-hard fan of Harry Potter. ♥

What did you want to be when you grew up?
 - A dancer and a psychologist. I’ve always been interested in human behavior, and I’ve always had a need to express myself through some form of creative outlet ... so I guess writing met those needs in the middle.

What was your favorite book as a child/teen?
 - Have to go back to Harry Potter. The first book released when I was 11, so I grew up alongside of Harry year after year as every new book released.

You are stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you want?
 - A bow, some form of fire-firestarter, and a pot to boil water in.

M&M’s or Skittles?
 - Neither lol. I love cheese.

Favorite icecream?
 - Butter pecan.

What’s your favorite season/weather?
 - Fall for sure. I love opening the windows to let the cool air in the house.

Beach or pool?
 - Beach.

If you had a time machine where would you go back in time or ahead? And who would you like to visit.
 - I would go back in time to visit my father. He died when I was two, so I have  no real memory of him. It would be nice to know what his voice sounds like.

Any advice for writer’s just starting out?
 - Don’t give up, read a lot, and write a little every day. Writing takes persistence and practice. None of us start out great, but it’s those who keep writing and expanding their minds that get ahead.

Any pet peeves?
 - People who lie.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
 -  If you like magic, romance, and a heroine who thinks outside of the norm, then you’ll love my book.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
 - Hearing the excitement from my many readers, and how my characters have stuck with them.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
 - I’m still working on the Night Watchmen Series. Book two is with the editor, and I’m currently writing book three. But of course, there are many others stories pushing their way up in the line. :)

Thank you, Michelle!
THANK YOU!
